February 2016 Meeting Recap

We started the meeting off by giving our QuiltCon 2015 quilt to CARDVA (a local organization that serves & supports woman and children in crisis).

Our next charity project is the quilt for the OSU Craft Center. Blocks are due at the March 11th meeting. Please see the January Recap post for a link to the disappearing nine patch quilt block pattern and details. Here are a few of the blocks we've collected so far. It's looking great!

Calendar of Events Review

Rope Bowl Presentation

Our friend Amber, a member of the Portland Modern Quilt Guild, taught us how to make rope bowls this month! She brought along a lot of fantastic samples, talked about all the different ropes available, shared her tips & tricks and showed us how to start & end bowls. Look for a blog post on Amber's blog soon. Thanks so much, Amber!!
